Feat by Feet Students Perform at Kennedy Center – December 7, 2013

Press Release – In 1998 Feat x Feet Youth Tap Ensemble was formed  by Ashley Wold and on December 7, 2012  three members of Feat x Feet  will be performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.   The show will be the first full length tap show to be presented at the Kennedy Center in the past 41 years.  15 youth were chosen from across the United States and 3 are from Feat x Feet! The company is truly living up to its name…accomplishing a “feat” using their feet.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the dancers and their Director Ashley Wold. Read more here…..

‘ Rhythms’ on Whitefish’s Winter Stage Contagious – Flathead Beacon

 “Contagious” is not a word most people like to hear during the winter, but a local youth dance group hopes their rhythm is just that when they perform in the Flathead Valley this month.A tap dance tradition, the Feat x Feet Youth Tap Ensemble, directed by Ashley Wold, will perform its 12th annual set of shows, “Contagious Rhythms,” in Whitefish. Shows run on Jan. 8 at 8 p.m., Jan. 9 at 4 p.m., Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 16 at 4 p.m. Each performance will be held at the O’Shaughnessy Center. Read more here…

Members of a local company Feat by Feet are serious about tapping -and having fun

During Tuesday evening’s rehearsal for Feat by Feet’s annual tap-dancing production, director Ashley Wold gave her dancers some instructions on stage presence.

“You’re a performing company and you have to do whatever you need to do to make it look like you’re enjoying yourself,” she told the room full of dancers following a particularly strenuous number. “You can’t make it look like it’s painful.” Read more….

Tap company offers its annual show times five – Daily Inter Lake

Feat x Feet, Montana’s only performing tap company, dances its way across the country in its seventh annual show, “Tap Nation.”

The company, directed by Ashley Wold, has compiled dances that originated in some of the biggest tap cities in the United States, as well as numbers from around the world.

 Feat x Feet company members study each week with Wold, but also travel together and as individuals to improve their skills.  Read more here…
